Marieve Herington is an actress, best known for her work on How I Met Your Mother, Good Luck Charlie, and as 'Tilly Green' in Disney Channel's Big City Greens.
She's also appearing in an upcoming episode of HBO Max's Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.

I've wanted to talk to Marieve for some time now, and I'm glad I finally got the chance.
Actually, scratch that—I'm glad I got the chance when I did.
While I've been a fan of hers since How I Met Your Mother and Good Luck Charlie, she's probably best known for her voice work. And her expanding from that into voice directing, especially recently, lead to a level of conversation that wouldn't have been possible at any other time.
I've written before about my interest in directing and my desire to pursue that career path as a kid.
But I'd only really thought about on-camera directing, where the director steers the entire ship. I wasn't really aware of voice directing as a subset or more specialized form of directing.
It was, at least to me, one of those things that's pretty obvious once you know about it, but wasn't something I really thought about as intrinsic to animated productions.
For years, I've read Mark Evanier's site, which often discusses his time voice directing for Garfield and Friends, and I've been curious about the nature of voice directing and its relationship to more traditional, broad strokes directing.
Talking to Marieve about it through the lens of some of her more recent work, as well as her acting experience, was a real treat.
